For those of you who already have kids the sound of a baby babbling is probably not that interesting. But we are new parents and are therefore amazed by every new thing Eli learns to do. He has been 'talking' now for a few weeks and has mastered 'oooh', 'eeeh', 'errh' and 'arrrh'! It's so funny to be in the kitchen and hear him lying on the living room floor chatting away to the ceiling!

Earlier in the summer
We had a few visitors to SF earlier this summer. I don't think they came to visit Shane or me!
Yiayia and Papou meet Eli for the first time.
Grandjops!
Hiking in Marin.
Eddie and Deb came out for a few days while Pat and Arty were here.
Twin peaks.

Australia Trip - Part 3
Finally we visited Melbourne where we stayed in Jan Juc and got to catch up with friends from school and university. I forgot to take photos until the last day unfortunately so I missed some some of the boys. Shane was lucky enough to go to and AFL (Australian Rules Football) game which he's been wanting to do for a long time. We mostly just ate and hung out and talked about the fact that you can not see friends for years and it still feels like you were all together yesterday. I can't wait for the next family holiday in Jan Juc!
Eli, Maddie, Imogen, Jake and Max. Eli and Jake are the same age and I'm sure will be best buddies next time with see the Lucas family.
Lou and Maddie.
Last night in Melbourne :(

Australia Trip - Part 2
Next we visited beautiful Tasmania and stayed for a week with Zoe and Paul. Zoe booked an amazing shack on the east coast for 2 nights and the rest of the time we stayed with them in Hobart.
The amazing vegetable garden on the property where we stayeed.
The shack Zoe rented complete with outdoor tub!
I fancy building a fence like this somewhere, someday.

Australia Trip - Part 1
We spent 3 1/2 weeks in Australia this summer. Actually, it was winter there so pretty chilly. We first went to Glen Innes to hang out on the farm for 10 days and had close to a million visitors! It seems people will travel from far and wide to meet a new baby! We didn't get photos with everyone but here is a selection.
Eli meets GFK for the first time.
A bath is a bowl in front of the fire.
Eli and the Ingold and Dedekind kids.
Oca, Rory and Tahlia showing Rory getting ready to hold Eli!
Saying goodbye to one poorly GFK and Grandjops.

And a Mini makes 3
Hello! I've been meaning to start a blog ever since our little bundle of joy arrived 3 months ago and here it is finally. I love reading and seeing what is going on in the lives of our friends and have been especially inspired by Mal and her wonderful blog about the Parkingtons.
Time has flown by and our tiny squeaking baby is how 3 1/2 months old and a hefty 15 1/2 lbs. We are having so much fun watching him grow and learn.
Still in the hospital. Such a tiny little bundle!
This picture is about 6 weeks old now but it's one of my favourites.
We've had some surprising warm weather this week so Eli has been able to hang around naked.
