Today was meant to be my first day back at work so I got up early and traipsed across the park only to find out that HR had terminated all my computer access unbeknownst to my manager. So I called her (because she doesn't work Saturday) and she said that it will have to wait until Monday.
So I came home and made these stripey sock pants instead! I found the pattern online and I kind of mucked them up a bit so I think I'll try again with another pair.

Cloth diapers
A few weeks ago we finally made the switch to cloth diapers. It certainly isn't as easy but it's not as much work as I thought. And they come in so many cute colours and designs. I feel better about contributing a little less landfill!
Mmm, avacado!

Rabbit factory
The Mr Rabbit factory has been back in production! I love this picture because Eli looks like he is trying to imitate the rabbits with his arms outstretched!
We had dinner at Sara and Ryan's on Saturday and their back yard turned out to be perfect for picture taking!
Thanks to the Rosenberg's for this awesome little outfit.
Action shots! Fresh pasta... de-licious!

Back to School
Today is the first day of the new school year in San Francisco. Shane has a new classroom so last week Eli and I went in to help him set it up and decorate. The room looks great as you can see. It's on the 4th floor and is a really nice sunny room. Let the learning begin!
On Saturday our friends Jon, Andrea and little Lyla took us to a lake somewhere down on the peninsula. It's this small private lake in the middle of suburbia and is owned by a group of families. It was not quite warm enough for me to brave the water but the others did.

Visitors
We had my aunt Luby and my cousin Kidada visiting this weekend. I'd heard about this Indian festival in Golden Gate Park which I thought sounded pretty good and was excited to try the advertised vegetarian food. So we all set off to the festival on Sunday only to discover that the chariots (it was the Festival of the Chariots) were 2 hours late and no one was allowed any food until the chariots arrived! All in all it was a big non event so we went to our favourite Velo Rouge cafe and had sandwiches!
This guy seriously did not move. I was questioning whether he was actually alive!

Mr Squeals
I know, I know...it's just another video of a baby lying on the floor making baby noises. But we think it's awesome! Eli has discovered squealing and does so when he's happy or to protest the fact that he'd rather not burp and go right on to more milk. It can be ear splitting at times. We've been pretty lucky and been able to take him out to restaurants up until now. I guess those days are over!

Paso Robles
Last Friday we drove down to Paso Robles and met up with the Hanchett's and the O'Malley's. We rented the most kid friendly house imaginable that had tons of running around space and a huge play structure. The house was so awesome that we didn't leave for the entire weekend! We ate, drank, sat around in the sun and watched James and Ryder go crazy in the pool and the playground. We can't wait to go back again!
We drove down via Big Sur on the 1.
Ryder, Holden, Reed, Eli and James.
