New couch

Dave, Tracy, Ryder, Holden and Reed have packed up and moved back to Massachusetts.... We are so sad!  We had dinner out with Dave and Tracy in Oakland on Saturday night and Sunday we went over to their place and picked up their couch!  Ryder couldn't really understand why we were taking it and bawled his eyes out!  Sound familiar?
The new/old couch looks great in our apartment and the living room feels enormous now that the giant sectional couch has gone.  All the more space to start crawling and walking in!  I have to do some work on the couch cushions because the leather is ripped.  That's this weeks job!

Sitting

Eli is getting pretty good at sitting.  He can stay sitting up for anywhere up to a minute before crashing over sideways usually onto his head.  Here are some shots of the master in action.

6 months old

Eli was 6 months old on Sunday.  I'm not sure where the last 6 months has gone.  It still seems absurd that we have a baby and now even crazier that the baby is half way through his first year!
He has decided to mark his 1/2 year by no longer wanting to sleep.  We've been pretty spoiled up until now because he would sleep anywhere and we could just put him in his crib and off to sleep he'd go.  That all changed a couple of weeks ago and it now takes anywhere from 20 mins to 2 hrs to get him to sleep - arghhh!
I'm a little bit behind on my photos here so the first beach shots are from Sunday at Ocean beach and the others are from last weekend when we visited the Hanchett's and Gerbelot's in Oakland and had a little family picnic in the Presidio on Sunday.
