Swimming

Swimming continues to be a huge hit.  He loves it.  Today he finally learned not to breathe in when he goes under water!

Peacock toy box

During the week Eli and I went down to Mountainview to visit Tanya and Milo.  It was a beautiful warm day and we sat outside under the umbrella and played for hours.  I'm very remiss and didn't get a photo of Milo because he was taking a nice long nap most of the time. I promise to next time because he's so big now and such a cute little guy.  They had a couple of these great fabric toy boxes.  I loved them and we needed something for toys so I decided to make one.  I really wanted to copy the fox one but I didn't have the right colour felt so decided it would be a peacock instead.  Want to know the best thing?  I used fabric that I already had in my stash so it didn't cost a penny!
I also put a picture of Eli playing his new xylophone.  It is his birthday present from us but we couldn't wait to give it to him!

Finally

Eli has been itching to get into this corner cupboard for weeks.  Ever since he figured out how to open the door.  Usually we don't let him but yesterday I had to get some cooking done and it was easier to have him occupied in the corner than climbing up my legs the whole time.  He was so pleased with himself!  We have the door locks but just have to get around to putting them on.

Raining

It's raining here today which is a good thing because we've hardly had any rain this winter so far.  The hills around SF that are always green this time of year are still yellow.  Not good.  We went to swim lessons this morning and used this beautiful rain jacket from Gill for the first time.  So snazzy!

Peekaboo

Eli loves to play peekaboo.  He sometimes uses his bib to cover his face or in this case the curtain. He's really funny when he just tries to use his hands because he generally has one hand over an ear and the other somewhere on his face!  He tries to say peekaboo and it sounds something like 'baboo'!
His other new game is to launch himself around when he's on our bed.   We read him a book before bed every night on our bed but lately he just goes crazy and flings himself about!

Poorly

Eli has his first really bad cold.  He's had a lot of trouble sleeping becasue he keeps waking up coughing.   On a happy note we had amazingly warm weather over the weekend (70 deg) so we went to GG Park for a picnic.  You can see his red eyes and nose. Poor little guy.
