Hot and cold

It was 80 deg here on Saturday and about 60 on Sunday!  We had a nice family picnic in the park on Saturday and Eli wore shorts and a t-shirt - amazing!  He was so funny crawling on the grass because he wouldn't put his knees down!  The Kahler's visited on Sunday and unfortunately we had a to have the planned picnic indoors.  We still went to the playground for a little while though.

Eli and I went for a picnic in the park today because it was so nice and sunny.

Pointing is the latest craze.  He points at everything and anything, all the time!

Sunday Streets 2

Today Sunday Streets was in Golden Gate Park.  They closed down the roads from the top of the park all the way to the ocean and then along Ocean Beach.  A total of 5 1/2 miles of streets closed to traffic! Eli loved his new ride.  At first he was not impressed with the helmet but forgot all about it once the bike started moving.

New bat

Eli got a new 'bat' today.  That's what we call his little animal blanket that he sleeps with.  This one is a Red Sox one.  One guess as to who bought it!  Thanks Auntie Pip!  He loves it already.  Here is a video of Eli chatting to his bat. 

I was talking to some friends at work today and asked if their kids yelled and screamed a lot while they played.  The answer was no.  I guess Eli's just a noisy little man!

Happy 1st birthday!

It's been a year already?  Wow!  Eli has 7 teeth, weighs 11kg (24lbs), is 78cm tall (2 1/2'), started sleeping through the night about a week ago, took his first step without holding on yesterday, says 'Dadad' and 'Mumum' sometimes at the right time, waves goodbye, can point to his head and mimics hello with 'awoe'.  We mostly celebrated his birthday yesterday.  We went to the park in the morning then went to Mac and Amy Jo's in the afternoon.

Oakland Zoo

Eli and I went to the zoo in Oakland today with Jenn.  Eli definitely loved the big turtle the best.  He was trying to reach through the fence to touch it!
