Xmas 2013

We had an awesome Xmas day with the Hateley's.  Once again these photos are in reverse order!
Above is Eli having a tantrum because he got in trouble for riding his new bike on the road!

Boxing day at Patterson's Lakes beach.

'I need to have a little sleep on the beach'!

Santa brought a tutu!

The weekend before Xmas we went into the city to soak up the atmosphere.

A lovely Saturday

We really had a lovely Saturday today.   We started out with blueberry pancakes then went to swimming lessons.  It was water safety week which meant things like swimming through fake seaweed, under fake oil spills, floating in life jackets and signalling help as well as reaching from the edge with a pool noodle to 'save' Daddy'.  Eli didn't really enjoy any part of it!  He's been getting very afraid of the water and it can be tough going with all the fun games they usually do at swimming so today was just a bit too much!
But after that we got back to the fun.  We went to Daddy's school market day where there were animals, face painting, cheap toys and Christmas trees!  So we came home and spent the afternoon decorating our tree.  I think Eli is going to be quite disappointed when he gets up tomorrow and there are no presents under the tree!

We have also been trying to get some bird netting on our apricot tree because the Cockatoos have started sitting in it and feasting on our apricots but this is about the sum of it!

We ate dinner outside and then lounged on the 'summer couch'.  We moved the futon outside and it's awesome!

Warming up

It looks like summer might finally be on its way. We did a bit of suburb scouting on Sunday then stopped in at Lysterfield Lake on the way home. It wasn't quite warm enough to swim but it will be soon so pack your togs Yiayia!

Mornington

Tuesday was a public holiday so we went for a drive down to Mornington.  It wasn't quite warm enough to go in the water but it was so nice to relax on the beach.  (Well Mummy got to relax.  Daddy was busy carting water!)
We went for an early lunch at DOC which is by far the best pizza we've had in Australia.  The entire staff are young Italian men.  Real Italians.  Speaking Italian!  Of course Eli ordered the standard Babycino!

Pink submarine

I've figured out an easy way to upload videos so look out!
It was 28 degrees here today. Summer has finally come! That is until tomorrow when it's forecasted to be a high of 14.   Seriously? Yes.

Crazy dance

Catch up

I'm sorry for the big gap in posts.  As I've previously mentioned I'm having difficulty uploading from my phone and I'd gotten used to doing it that way so now it's back to the computer.  If only my tech savvy husband had time between Red Sox games to help me out!
The first pic was taken last weekend at Cranbourne Centro shopping centre where Eli got a new hat!  And the hairdresser got a bit carried away with the gel after his hair cut!

It may not be summer yet but that doesn't seem to bother Mr Naked!
G Jops and GFK came for 3 1/2 days and they had a ball with Eli.  Thursday they took him to the zoo, in undies, with no spare pants!  And it worked out!  Friday they went to the sculpture park and then did a playground hop along the peninsula coast line.  Unfortunately there are not photos to show from those 2 great days so we had to snap a few before they left.
Who does this remind you of?

Eden

We just spent 5 days on the coast in southern NSW and northern VIC.  We went with the Hateleys, Crumptons and Lucas'.   For some reason these photos have all loaded in reverse order so you'll have to start at the bottom if you want to see things in chronological order!  We kept talking about getting a big group photo of us all but of course forgot.  I didn't manage to get one photo of little Charlie Crumpton which I'm very sorry about.  We'll just have to do it all again soon!

We stopped in Metung on the way home for a night with the Hateleys.

It wasn't quite warm enough for the splash park but that didn't seem to bother Maddie, Amelia or Eli.

The drive there and back was about as picturesque as it could be.
Imogen, Max and Jake Lucas.  Maddie and Amelia Hateley and Eli.

Tracey and her beautiful boys.
Imogen and Maddie.  Maddie 4 going on 24!
The tall ships came into Eden harbour while we were there on their way from Hobart to Sydney.
The girls had a lunch and afternoon out while the boys stayed home with the kids!  Sorry you had to leave Sunday Suse, we missed you!

2 kangaroos! Max, Imogen, Maddie, Jake, Louis and Eli.

The giant bouncy pillow was definitely the highlight of the stay.
Max and Jake - chillin!
