Dinosaur

This is what Eli and Daddy got up to today while I was at work. Eli said 'It looks like a dragon but it's actually a dinosaur'!

And here is the crazy goose. He has insisted on having his bath in the baby's bath the past two nights!

3 Fabulous Weeks with Yiayia

It all started at the airport.   Boy were we excited to see Yiayia!

She brought Papou's bongos and drum sticks for this very happy little guy!

We travelled down and spent a night in Warnambool where we had a perfect afternoon at the beach.

And then a very rainy day on the Great Ocean Road.

The second week we drove up to Canberra and met up with G Jops, GFK, Zoe, Paul and Liam.

At the 'Elvis at 21' exhibit at the National Portrait Gallery.

We thought that the National Dinosaur museum would be a huge hit but we were wrong!  It was all going well outside until we went inside and all the dinosaurs were moving!

Back in Melbourne we had a lovely afternoon in the Yarra Valley sipping wine and listening to live music on the lawn.

The last week saw temperatures in the mid 40's C (110F) so searching for air conditioning was the primary goal.  Shane, Eli and Yiayia did squeeze in a visit to the sand sculptures in Frankston...

And apparently the best dessert Yiayia has ever had!  Dessert pizza with melted white chocolate, vanilla ice cream and strawberries.  At DOC in Mornington - yum!

The final scenes at the airport were a bit sad and tear stained to put on here.  We'll miss you Yiayia  but as Eli says 'We'll see you on Skype'! 

Xmas 2013

We had an awesome Xmas day with the Hateley's.  Once again these photos are in reverse order!

A lovely Saturday

We really had a lovely Saturday today.   We started out with blueberry pancakes then went to swimming lessons.  It was water safety week which meant things like swimming through fake seaweed, under fake oil spills, floating in life jackets and signalling help as well as reaching from the edge with a pool noodle to 'save' Daddy'.  Eli didn't really enjoy any part of it!  He's been getting very afraid of the water and it can be tough going with all the fun games they usually do at swimming so today was just a bit too much!  

But after that we got back to the fun.  We went to Daddy's school market day where there were animals, face painting, cheap toys and Christmas trees!  So we came home and spent the afternoon decorating our tree.  I think Eli is going to be quite disappointed when he gets up tomorrow and there are no presents under the tree!

We have also been trying to get some bird netting on our apricot tree because the Cockatoos have started sitting in it and feasting on our apricots but this is about the sum of it!

We ate dinner outside and then lounged on the 'summer couch'.  We moved the futon outside and it's awesome!
